You'll start your day with a drive along the coastal road, with a stop at the famous Corinth Canal, an impressive structure linking the Aegean and Ionian seas. You'll then continue on to the historic Argolid region to visit Mycenae, an ancient city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you'll explore iconic sites such as the Lioness Gate, the royal tombs of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra, and the Treasury of Atreus, an architectural masterpiece from the 14th century BC.
After this immersion in history, you'll stop off in Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. You can admire the Venetian fortress of Palamede and the fortified islet of Bourtzi. Depending on the option chosen, you'll enjoy lunch by the sea overlooking Bourtzi, or have free time to explore the city at your own pace.
In the afternoon, you'll head to Epidaurus, another UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its ancient theater with exceptional acoustics and considered one of the best preserved in Greece. This site was also a healing center dedicated to Asclepius, the god of medicine.
