Description

Immerse yourself in Avignon's history with a visit to the legendary Pont d'Avignon, the Popes' Palace and its gardens!

With your ticket and depending on the option you choose, you'll set off to discover the legendary monuments that have made Avignon's history.

  • A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pont Saint Bénezet, better known as the Pont d'Avignon after the famous children's song, has many stories and legends in store for you during your visit. Through films, exhibitions and touchscreen tablets, you can understand the historical importance of this bridge, of which only part remains today, and admire the technical and architectural prowess that went into its construction.
  • The Popes' Palace, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the seat of the papacy in the 14th century. This is one of the most beautiful and impressive buildings constructed during the Gothic period at the end of the Middle Ages. You'll be struck by the immensity of this "city in the heart of the city" and can step back in time to the Middle Ages, into the everyday life of the Popes, thanks to the histopad included in your ticket. You'll explore numerous rooms, chapels and chambers and learn more about the history of this landmark. Don't miss the breathtaking view of Avignon from the terraces of the Popes' Palace.

Finally, depending on your ticket option, enjoy a moment of relaxation in the papal gardens at the end of your visit.
