Head out on a hike to discover Mount Batur and its lake, as well as see an amazing sunrise!
In the middle of the night, you will be picked up at your hotel at around 2am, and head in the direction of Mount Batur. At 1,717 meters (5,633 ft.) high, this active volcano is considered by Hindus to be a sacred mountain. After two hours of hiking, you will arrive at the summit in time to admire the sunrise, as well as enjoy a breakfast of cooked bananas and eggs.
On the hike back down, you will pass through small forests which lead right to the volcano’s lake. You will cross the lake by boat to reach Toya Devasya, giving you a stunning view of lake Batur. Make the most of the visit by relaxing your muscles in the hot springs.
Finally you will visit a coffee plantation, where visitors can learn about different varieties and taste a cup of famous kopi luwak, or civet coffee!
After a morning spent on Mount Batur, you will be brought back to your accommodations around noon.
