Description

Discover the scenery of Queensland from a new angle on board the Skyrail cable car and the Kuranda scenic railway!

Departing from Cairns, you will head to Freshwater. Climb aboard the Skyrail cable car towards Kuranda. From the cable car, you will have a breathtaking view of the rainforest below. The cable car will stop off on the way so that you can stretch your legs in the middle of the forest and admire the views of the landscapes around you.

You will then be able to wander through the village of Kuranda. You can explore the traditional local market at your own pace or some of the village’s many attractions (the butterfly sanctuary, Koala Gardens, etc.).

In the mid-afternoon, you will climb aboard the Kuranda scenic railway towards Cairns. Take in the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and the rainforest and marvel at the waterfalls on the edge of the railway.

The bus will take you back from Freshwater Station to your hotel.

When you book, you will be asked to choose whether you prefer to travel on the scenic railway:

  • In “gold” class
  • In standard class
     

In “gold” class, you will enjoy a personalised service, refreshments (Australian sparkling wine, orange juice, beer, soft drinks, etc.), an individual seat and surprise goodies within a classic and luxurious setting.

Please note: if you choose “gold” class, you will return to Cairns 1 hr. 30 mins later.
