Take a day trip with your family or friends to visit the mythical Cairo Museum and the Coptic Quarter accompanied by an Egyptologist guide!
You'll be picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and head to the famous Egyptian Museum of Cairo, located on Tahrir Square in central Cairo. Be amazed by the largest collection of Egyptian art in the world with over 170,000 exhibits. Get ready for a real journey back in time!
You'll then have lunch at a local restaurant (meal not included), recommended by your guide.
Afterwards, you'll head to the Coptic Quarter, the historic Christian part of Cairo. You'll visit the hanging church which dates from the 3rd century BC. It was built above the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon. You'll also visit the church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, which houses a cave where the Holy Family sought refuge.
Finally, you'll visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in Egypt. It's particularly well-known for its Genizah (text repository) which contains numerous historically important manuscripts.
After your day exploring Cairo, you'll be taken back to your hotel in the city centre.
