Arriving at Machu Picchu, you'll explore the famous "Lost Citadel" and walk the site's main paths. You'll be immersed in the history of this wonder of the world and of the Incas, its first inhabitants. Surrounded by stunning cliffs, Machu Picchu offers breathtaking views. During your visit, you will slowly uncover the mysteries of the place, like the Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana or the terraces that climb the mountain like a huge staircase.
During your visit, you will also have the opportunity to climb the famous Huayna Picchu, the mountain that sits proudly behind the Lost Citadel. Considered one of the most incredible and memorable walks on the planet, the ascent of Huayna Picchu takes you up to an altitude of 2,700 m, offering unrivalled views of Machu Picchu. Travelling these ancient Inca trails surrounded by cliffs, you'll discover several archaeological sites such as the Temple of the Moon, a mysterious building built inside a natural cave.
With the optional bus route, you'll take the famous Hiram Bingham Road, named after the explorer who discovered Machu Picchu. At the end of your visit, you will take the return bus to Aguas Calientes.
