Leaving from your hotel in Beijing, spend a day discovering two major monuments of the Middle Kingdom.
A shuttle bus will pick you up and take you to Badaling where you will find best-preserved part of the Great Wall of China. You can reach the top of the Great Wall on foot or by cable car (supplement) and enjoy the magnificent view from this symbol of the power of an empire than lasted over 5,000 years.
When you come back down from the wall, you will have the opportunity to visit a jade sculpture workshop before having lunch in a tradtional Chinese restaurant.
After your meal, you will return to Beijing by bus to visit the Summer Palace. This palace, constructed in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its beautiful gardens.
