Discover the Polish Aviation Museum and its vast collection, in a location steeped in history!
Whether you're an aviation enthusiast, or simply curious about the history of flight, come and discover the Polish Aviation Museum, a museum to the north-east of Krakow that traces the history of aviation from the time of the first pilots to the present day.
You will have the opportunity to explore 300 exhibits: items, planes, helicopters, gliders, plus military aircraft from the two world wars and even the pope's helicopter!
A highlight of the museum is being able to actually go inside some of the aircraft, and for complete immersion you can test out some interactive machines.
Much of the exhibition is outdoors, in a vast park that is also the former Rakowice-Czyżyny airport, so even if you're not an aircraft enthusiast, you can enjoy the surroundings especially on a beautiful sunny day.
There is a play area for little ones.
