Enter the residence of Her Majesty the Queen with your Buckingham Palace ticket!

Heads of state from around the world are received here, at the official residence of the royal family. Royal events take place here as well, such as the Queen’s birthday.

Visitors will explore the 19 state apartments which form the heart of Buckingham Palace. Luxuriously decorated, these apartments are filled with royal treasures such as paintings by Rubens and Rembrandt, Canova’s sculptures, and porcelain from Sèvres.

Visitors will also have access to the famous throne room, ball room, and the iconic balcony where William and Kate kissed.

Learn more about the Queen’s role thanks to a temporary exhibition about royal gifts. Over the past 65 years, the Queen has been gifted a multitude of objects by heads of state the world over; the most iconic of which are on display.

Finish the visit with a walk through the palace gardens, which have more than 30 varieties of birds and 350 varieties of flowers.

There’s even a chance you might see the changing of the guard if you arrive at 11am!

  • Students should bring their student ID, otherwise they will not be able to receive the reduced price
  • This is a self guided tour
  • For security reasons, strollers are not allowed in the state rooms in Buckingham Palace, they must be left in the coat room and collected at the end of the visit. Special baby carriers may be rented
  • For security reasons, tours may take various routes. Photos and videos for private use are permitted, and phones may be used only in the gardens.
  • Those with disabilities should make their reservations right next to Buckingham Palace
