Set off on a day trip to Mijas, Marbella and Puerto Banús, all must-see destinations on the Costa del Sol!
You'll leave from the meet-up point nearest to your Costa del Sol accommodation for a day's excursion.
Board the air-conditioned coach and head off to the Andalusian village of Mijas. Located between Malaga and Marbella, Mijas is one of the region's most famous white villages. It has a unique setting - 430m above sea level and on a mountainside. Explore the village as you stroll through its pretty, plant-lined alleyways and soak up its peaceful atmosphere.
Don't miss the troglodyte chapel of the Virgen de la Peña, which offers stunning views of the coast.
You'll then head to Marbella, a seaside resort opposite Gibraltar. You'll explore the old town, the Casco Antiguo, and its Plaza de Los Naranjos, a central location with gorgeous orange trees and numerous restaurants. You can explore the town at your own pace and admire the old fortress built when Marbella belonged to Abd al-Rahman III or the 16th-century Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación
Stroll down Avenida del mar which is near the port and like an open-air museum. You'll find no fewer than 10 sculptures by Salvador Dalí.
Continue along the Golden Mile, Marbella's most high-end avenue. You'll see luxury homes and shops as well as stunning panoramic views of the coastline.
The excursion ends at Puerto Banús, at the end of the promenade. This marina is often compared to the Côte d'Azur and Saint-Tropez with it's jet-set vibe and buzzing nightlife. You'll have some free time to stroll around the port and the surrounding streets before joining your guide on the coach and returning to your set-off point.
