Ouarzazate, also known as the "Gateway to the Desert", is a town located south of the High Atlas Mountains.
Leaving Marrakech, you'll hit the road, heading for the town of Ouarzazate.
On the way, you'll drive over the highest pass in North Africa: the Tizi N'Tichka.
Your first stop will be at the Kasbah d'Ait Ben Haddou. You'll have around 1 hour's free time to visit the fortified town featuring traditional southern Moroccan architecture, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You'll continue your day with a visit to the Atlas film studios. Here you'll discover the sets for films such as Cleopatra, Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, Atlantis, Gladiator, The Nile Diamond and many more!
You'll round off your discovery of the region with the Kasbahs of Tiffoultoute and Taourirt, the resort of the former Pasha of Marrakech (seen from the outside - photo stop).
You'll have lunch in the Hotel Oscar restaurant before being driven back to Marrakech.
