Explore two emblematic facets of Marseille: the MuCEM and the Panier district, thanks to an audioguided cultural tour at your own pace!
You'll start by heading straight to the MuCEM, the first national museum dedicated to Mediterranean cultures. Ideally located between the Old Port and Fort Saint-Jean, the museum offers year-round exhibitions dedicated to Mediterranean history, art and civilizations.
Thanks to your queue-busting ticket, you'll gain quick access to the exhibition spaces without having to wait in line. You'll discover permanent and temporary collections of objects, documents, sculptures and works of art.
The museum is housed in a fully restored 17th-century historic monument. Its bold architecture, between stone and openwork concrete, makes it one of the city's cultural symbols. From the walkways, you'll enjoy an exceptional viewpoint over the sea and the port of Marseille.
Your ticket also includes access to Fort Saint-Jean, linked to the museum by a suspended walkway. Here you can wander freely, discovering its ramparts, exhibition galleries and Mediterranean gardens.
After your visit, you'll set off to discover the quartier du Panier, one of Marseille's oldest districts. Thanks to an audio tour featuring 18 points of interest, you'll explore its colorful alleyways, typical squares and iconic buildings such as the Maison Diamantée and Hôtel-Dieu.
You'll listen to audio commentaries on the district's history, architecture, traditions and great Marseilles figures. The audioguide is downloadable via QR code and can be used on smartphone with headphones.
You'll be free to manage your time between museum and stroll, with no constraints and no on-site guide.
This activity combines culture, heritage and urban exploration, for a complete immersion in the soul of Marseille.
