Get out of Mexico City for a day to discover the Great Pyramid of Cholula and the city of Puebla!
First, you'll reach the archaeological site of Cholula. This site contains the largest pyramid ever built by man in terms of the volume of material moved, so much so that the pyramid resembles a small hill! Today, a church has been built at the top of the pyramid, adding to its uniqueness. After spending some time in Cholula, you'll hit the road for Puebla.
Once in Puebla, you'll discover a cosmopolitan city with a traditional feel. With its street food, art, culture and modern infrastructure, the city alone represents Mexico and its history. You'll walk Puebla's narrow streets and be charmed by the architecture of its cathedral, colorful houses, museums and cultural centers.
If you wish, you can add lunch at a local Puebla restaurant to your excursion, before heading to the Parian market.
You'll visit a Talavera (*except on Sundays) factory, Puebla's local handicraft listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. This is traditional Mexican pottery and very colorful. You'll learn more about its manufacture and history.
You'll be taken back to Mexico City after a day exploring Cholula and Puebla.
