Description

Enjoy a day in the Bahamas during your stay in Miami or Fort Laudredale!

Departing from Fort Lauderdale, you will board a ferry that will take you to one of the Bahamas islands. You will have the choice between Freeport and Bimini depending on the day.

Freeport is the main city of the island of Gran Bahama, known for its national park Lucayan which has grand underground caves, and offersan ideal setting for hiking and kayaking. 

Bimini is an an archipelago of islands, the coastal destination the most rich in sealife in the Bahamas, ideal for snorkeling. You will head to Bimini Nord, the main island of the archipelago. 

Upon arrival at Freeport or Bimini, you will enjoy around 6 hours of free time to discover the Bahamas. You will be able to, for example,relax on the beach in the sun, stroll through the shops or even go snorkeling with a mask and snorkel. By opting for the trip to Bimini, you will receive a day pass to Hilton World Resort.

At the end of the day, you will head head back to Florida by ferry.

Options

When you book, you will asked to choose one of the following options: 

  • First Class
    During your journey (approx. 2 hours), enjoy the peaceful environment of a first-class cabin. Light refreshments will be served and you will have priority boarding and disembarkation from the boat. You will aslo have access to the different services on the ferry (bar, boutiques and lounge). 
     
  • Economy Class
    During your journey you will have a reserved seat in a standard cabin plus access to the different services on the ferry (bar, boutiques and lounge). 
     
  • You will also be asked to indicate the island of your choice between Freeport and Bimini. Please note that the island option often depends on the day of the week.

Bimini trip information:

  • Schedule (excluding exceptional dates): Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9am (meeting on site at 7am)
  • Departure location: Fort Lauderdale Port (Terminal 21) or pickup from your hotel in Miami Beach between 5:40am and 6:30am

Freeport trip information: 

  • Schedule (excluding exceptional dates): Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9am (meeting on site at 7am)
  • Departure location: Fort Lauderdale Port (Terminal 21). For Freeport, hotel pick-up is not available
     
  • This excursion is accessible for people with reduced mobility. However, only foldable wheelchairs are accepted
  • Depending on how long the boat ride over takes, you will have between 4 and 7 hours on site
  • Please note: for reasons out of our control, please note that a supplementary delay may occur during the customs upon arrival in the Bahamas
  • This is not a guided trip (you will enjoy some free time in the island of your choice). Communication with the ferry team will be in English
  • Please note: meals are not included in this excursion. Numerous restaurants are available at the destination
     
  • To participate in this activity you must have a valid passport and the all the necessary documents to return to the United States. Citizens from certain countries may need to obtain a visa to enter the Bahamas.
