Description

Climb one of the world's most famous granite mountains on foot: Corcovado Mountain with its imposing statue of Christ the Redeemer!

Situated in the heart of the Tijuca Forest National Park, Corcovado and its Christ the Redeemer statue are among Brazil's most famous landmarks. This route will take you from Parque Lage through the tropical forest with its hundred year-old palm trees, and ultimately to the top of Corcovado where you will be able to enjoy an unbeatable view over the city of Rio.

This walk's difficulty level is classed as 'advanced': the ascent takes roughly 2 hours 30 minutes and the descent will be made in a car or van.

Important information

  • Availability: every day (except in exceptional cases)
  • Duration: 6h including 2h30 hiking
  • Departure place and time: pick-up at your hotel or cruise port around 8am, exact time will be confirmed after booking
  • Transfers are available from most hotels located in the quarties of São Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. If you are not staying at one of these hotels, please choose the nearest meeting point
