Discover the geysers of El Tatio in the Chilean Andes and walk around the town of Machuca at sunrise!
Accompanied by your guide, you'll leave your hotel before sunrise and head to the El Tatio geyser field north of San Pedro de Atacama. On the way you can admire the Andes' beautiful snowy landscapes and volcanoes. After a roughly 2-hour drive, you'll arrive at El Tatio. This geyser field is located at 4,267 meters above sea level and is caused by underground magma that heats a natural water supply.
You'll arrive for sunrise, which adds an even more magical touch to this natural phenomenon. Every morning, the geysers "wake up" and set jets of boiling hot water into the air - the most powerful geysers can reach a height of 50 metres. You'll get 2 hours to walk around and take snaps of these geysers before enjoying breakfast in the middle of this unique landscape.
You'll then head back to the Machuca. You'll have an hour's free time to wander around this typical Chilean town. You'll then be driven back to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
