Visit two emblematic Bulgarian monuments: Boyana Church and Rila Monastery, just outside Sofia!

You'll enjoy a transfer from Sofia city center, and set off on a full-day excursion. Your first stop is Boyana Church (entrance ticket not included), an oriental church built in the 10th century and enlarged three centuries later. It is renowned for its perfectly preserved medieval frescoes.

You'll then head south from Sofia to visit the famous Rila monastery (entrance ticket not included), situated at the foot of the Rila massif, Bulgaria's highest mountain range. The Rila monastery is Bulgaria's first Christian monastery, rebuilt and fortified in the 14th century after a devastating fire. You will visit the dome-shaped church and discover the colorful frescoes.

You will be driven back to Sofia after an unmissable one-day excursion.
