Description

Astronomy beginners, go and disover the Teide Observatory, and observe 83 of the 88 constellations!

Departing from the north and from the south of Tenerife, you will head to the Teide National Park. You will start by a visit in the Teide Observatory, one of the largest observatories in the world. With the help of your astronomy expert guide, you will be able to observe the sky with the solar and nocturnal telescopes.

Towards the end of the day, you will admire the sunset on Teide National Park. Then you will take advantage of the ideal positioning of the Canary Islands as you admire the stars. In fact, from Mount Teide, you'll be able to observe 83 of the 88 officially recognised constellations.

Options

While completing your reservation, you will be asked to select one of the following meeting points:

Hotel Isla Bonita: south Tenerife: Monday and Thursday

Hotel Botanico: north Tenerife: departures on Wednesday and Saturday

Good to know

  • Availability: Wednesday and Saturday (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Departures: Hotel Botanico taxi station for northern Tenerife, Hotel Isla Bonita for southern Tenerife
  • Departures from the north take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Departures from the south take place on Mondays and Thursdays
  • Departure time: this varies depending on the sunset, your time will confirmed with you 24 before
  • Duration: approx. 8 hours

 

  • People with cardiac problems, pregnant women and children under the age of 8 aren't allowed to participate
  • If weather conditions prevent the observation of the stars, or if it becomes too difficult to see them through the solar telescopes during the afternoon (or their mechanical functions are affected), you will visit two nocturnal telescopes instead of just the one
  • If weather conditions prevent the observation of the stars during the night time observation, the activity will be cancelled and your will be offered a refund of up to 16€
