Near the POP museum, you will have the opportunity to visit the Old Prison, considered a real must-see in Trois-Rivières. Built in 1822 and known for its particularly harsh living conditions, it is one of the oldest prisons in Quebec. In service until 1986, it remains almost unchanged today! You will walk through the corridors, cells and living areas such as the refectory, still as they were when prisoners were incarcerated there. Accompanied by a guide, you will also be given moving accounts of prison life.
